Post-World-Café Reflections
1. How did you feel about your discussion experience? What did you enjoy and what was difficult?
It was a great experience to me to meet some of PSU graduate students and discuss about the stories. I really enjoyed with that activity.
2. Which letter from #5 on page 1 of the worksheet was hardest to decide in your group? Why do you think it was the hardest?

2. Which letter from #5 on page 1 of the worksheet was hardest to decide in your group? Why do you think it was the hardest?
Letter (D) because some of my group members had different opinions.
b: "most likely to be remembered in the future" --> "least likely"
c: "most affected/changed by their experience" --> "least affected"
d: "most courageous" --> "least courageous"
3. Was it easy or difficult to come to agreements with your groups? What made it easy and what made it challenging?
To be honest, it wasn't very easy. Some of my group members had different opinions about who's the most courageous and I didn't feel that the person that they chose deserves to be the most courageous.
4. Were you happy with your group’s definition of courage? What would you like to change, if anything?
Yes I liked our definition, and I had a different definition which was: courage is doing something challenging or not easy for everyone to do, that benefits the others.

Homework
1. Do you think humans will need to move to another planet? Why or why not?
I think humans will need to move to another planet, because our earth is getting worse and worse with the pollution. In 100 hundred years, we should find an alternative planet to make sure that the new generation's life is safe, because there are some dangerous gases are leaked from the atmosphere to our earth which would harm their life.
2. If it does happen that some humans move to another planet, would you volunteer to go? Why or why not?
If that happened, I would not go to that planet. I want to spend my life on the earth because I am sure that we would face a lot of problems and more dangerous in that planet than the problems in the earth.
3. Read this article about people who have signed up to move to Mars: http://www.cnn.com/2013/08/09/tech/innovation/mars-one-applications/index.html What is your reaction to this story?
It's something positive that some people want to go to another planet. I would encourage them to go to mars and wish all the best for them in their future on mars. in fact, i conceder them as heroes, because they know that they would face a lot of risks and dangerous problems, but they still want to discover that planet and have an unlimited imagination.
4. What do you think Ray Bradbury wanted the readers of "All Summer in a Day" to understand? What did you think after reading this story?
To show us how complicated it is to live in another planet and how valuable are the small things in the earth compared to a different planet . A different planet is very different than the earth in many things such as the change of the seasons and how slow it is. I think life in a new planet would be very hard and impossible for humans to adapt with, even if they found the sources and the supplies that they need in that imaginary planet, because of the risk and the problems that they would face.

Introduction
Hello, 4B Reading
My name is Fahad. I was born in the United States, and I grew up in Saudi Arabia. I am interested to post some of my writing in this semester, and looking forward to know more about all of my classmates.
I was born in the United States, specifically in Hershey. I went back to my country which is Saudi Arabia with my family. I studied and grew up there. After I graduated from high school, I decided to study in the United States, specifically at Penn State, where my father graduated from.
I now came to State College to learn English in the IECP and complete my studies in the US. Studying in one of the American universities requires international students to get the TOEFL or IELTS score. For that reason, I am studying English to improve my English skills to be able to get that score. In fact, one of the greatest benefits of studying abroad, is I got to know nice people such as my classmates and my friends that knew here in the US.
